Small Wind Energy at Bryant University

The VisionAIR3 model is a vertical axis turbine that costs $12,000- $15,000. This cost can be paid directly by Bryant as it would be an investment to lower future electrical usage cost. Along with this, The Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) offers “financial incentives for renewable energy projects that “directly benefit the state of Rhode Island. These financial incentives, which include grants and loans, are funded by the Rhode Island Renewable Energy Fund (RIREF)” (DASolar Energy, 2015). These grants and loans are available for wind energy and non-profit institutions are allowed to apply such as Bryant.
